On May 27, all student passwords will expire and be reset to follow a secure, but patterned protocol. This new Cardinal ID and password will apply for most TVCC services including:

The Cardinal Connection is NOT affected by this.
The pattern to the new password will be: lowercase first initial + last four digits of your Social Security number + uppercase last initial + 4 digit year of birth. So if your name is Jane Doe, you were born in the year 1998 and your social security number ends in 1234, your new password would be: j1234D1998.

We have scheduled a two-day maintenance window to complete the upgrade. During this window there will be several major tasks with varying levels of network service restoration:

09:00 am - 12:00 pm Remove the existing network equipment and cabling.
ALL Services will be down.
1:00 pm – 5:00 pm Begin installing and configuring replacement hardware.
Most services will begin to come back online.
Wednesday, March 14, 2018
09:00 am - 12:00 pm Installation of the new hardware for the Data Center/ERP.
All services will be restored.
1:00 pm – Complete Verify all services have been restored.
Network components are upgraded every six to seven years to ensure we can continue to support the network needs of our business and students. We are aware that this is a major interruption to the business functions here at TVCC. We have scheduled this upgrade to occur over Spring Break to lessen the impact to our faculty, staff and students.

Internet - Emergency Maintenance Scheduled - Known Issue

TVCC's Video Conference and Data Networks are experiencing a loss of performance and reliability. This is an ongoing problem affecting multiple Higher Ed institutions. Repairs have been scheduled to resolve the issues.
Emergency maintenance has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 22, 2016 between 7:00 am and 8:00 am. During this time all access between campuses and the internet will be disrupted. Both data and voice services will be interrupted.
