TerrellUpgrade circuit to Terrell. Point to point communicaitons between the Athens Campus and Terrell was limited to T1 circuits until recently. Ethernet service has been made available to the Terrell Campuse. We have upgraded the circuit from 10.75 Mb (7 T1s) to a 100 Mb Ethernet connection. Adding additional bandwidth can be completed through software only.April 2015
SystemCompleted the installation and migration of all access points from the old wireless controller to the new Cisco 5508 WLC. Increased the number of access points by 10%.March 2015
AthensThe Athens Campus wireless network has been upgraded to support 802.11n or later wireless technology. All buildings but one are using 802.11ac access points. March 2015
HSCReplaced and upgraded the existing access points with Cisco 3702i units that support the 802.11ac standard. We also double the number of access points on this campus for better coverage.February 2015
Palestine-MainReplaced all 802.11g access points with 802.11n models. The number of access points on the Palestine Campus has increased by 90%. The entire wireless network has been connected to an upgraded wireless lan controller for better performance.February 2015
